that bear all of your weight and carry you through life, often taking quite a pounding without you having to give them much thought.

 

If you are experiencing foot pain, it may be time to give your feet and ankles some TLC.

Foot Ailments

Here are some of the foot conditions and their symptoms you may be experiencing:

  • Heel Pain including:

    • Achilles Tendonitis - pain in the heel or back of the lower leg

    • Heel Spurs- pain in the heel, especially when standing up after rest

    • Plantar Fasciitis - stabbing heel pain, sometimes worse in the morning

    • Stress Fractures - pain in heel or foot that show up in different ways

  • Bunions - painful and protruding joint at the base of the great toe

  • Gout - severe pain, swelling and redness in joints, often the great toe 

  • Metatarsalgia - pain in the ball area of the foot that worsens walking or standing

  • Neuromas - sensation like a cotton ball under the foot / pain in ball or toes

  • Sesamoiditis - pain under the ball of the foot / difficulty flexing the great toe

Ankle Ailments

​

Here are some of the symptoms and conditions of the ankle that we treat:

  • Achilles Tendonitis - pain in either the heel or back of the lower leg

  • Achilles Tendinosis - heel pain and sometimes swelling

  • Peroneal Tendinosis - pain and weakness in ankle

  • Ankle Fracture - ankle pain, swelling, maybe visibly misaligned 

  • Pilon Fracture - pain, swelling and bruising of ankle/pain with weight bearing

  • Talus Fracture - swelling, bruising and pain, intensified when putting weight on the foot

  • Ankle Sprain - ankle pain, swelling, that can appear bruised

  • Arthritis of the Foot and Ankle - chronic joint pain

  • Chronic Lateral Ankle Pain - pain on the outer side of ankle

  • Osteochondral Lesion - aching in ankle joint

  • Shin Splints - leg pain, sometimes intensified with activity
